Community Support Services Clinician

This position qualifies for a hire-on bonus of $5000, half of which will be paid with the first check after hire and half paid with the first check after six (6) months of hire.  

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Community Support Services Clinician. This position will perform a variety of services at our Open Door location, which serves individuals in the community with serious and persistent mental illness. The individual in this position performs mental health assessments, assessment updates, and individual service plans in keeping with agency standards. This position also provides short-term individual and group counseling and therapy to an assigned caseload that may vary in size. The Community Support Services Clinician may initiate treatment plans, provide case management and care coordination, and be a community liaison.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment interviews for all new and returning clients to obtain comprehensive information regarding presenting problems. This includes the ability to conclude and assign diagnoses. Assessments may be for respite, residential or outpatient services placement.
  • Assist the client in developing a meaningful Treatment Plan and provided services tied to the Treatment Plan.
  • Conduct Mental Status Examinations and make appropriate treatment recommendations and referrals.
  • Help identify client’s natural support system and be able to work within that system as appropriate to facilitate clients’ recovery.
  • Be knowledgeable of community resources, refer and facilitate clients’ accessing of these supports.
  • Provide case management services as needed to assigned caseload.
  • Provide group and individual counseling in keeping with Evidence-based Practices.
  • Provide backup crisis response upon request by supervisor.
  • Provides outreach services as appropriate.
  • Consult and coordinate services with other community partners such as: Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse, Primary Care Physicians, DHS, Senior & Disability Services, Courts, Community Action and Schools.
  • Responsible for obtaining Releases of Information to be able to consult and coordinate with other community agencies.
  • Participate in regular team and agency meetings.
  • Complete and maintain all clinical documents and client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules and standards established at CBH.
  • Maintain productivity in keeping with agency expectations and standards, including timely discharge and termination of clients.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
  • Participate in Investigations, Court hearings, and other legal proceedings as directed by agency and/or subpoenaed and maintain the required documentation for the same.
  • Remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
  • All CBH staff are mandatory abuse reporters per the State of Oregon.
  • Report critical incidents or alleged client abuses to the CBH Abuse Investigator or outside agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an RN is required.
  • Required to have and maintain an Oregon or Washington Driver's license and meet the agency's insurance carrier's insurance standards at the time of hire

Preferred:

  • At least 3 years of outpatient clinical experience working with individuals experiencing mentally illness.

Pay Range: $34.63/hr. - $45.18/hr.

LMP Support Specialist / Medical Assistant

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a full-time Licensed Medical Professional (LMP) Support Specialist. This position works closely with LMP staff to ensure medication refills, prior authorizations, and lab orders/results are processed in a timely manner and responds to all client inquiries regarding medication refills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication is refilled in timely manner as requested by client.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding medication refills
  • Obtain prior authorization for non-covered medications.
  • Notify LMPs when client is requesting schedule II mediations.
  • Identify clients that need to be closed and send closing to appropriate person to finish the closing
  • Call in medication orders.
  • Scheduling of Appointment for LMPs Ensuring labs are ordered and results entered into Electronic Medical Record. Maintain Clozapine registry.
  • Help clients with Rx Assistance forms
  • Access OR Rx monitoring program to verify last fill date & dosage of client prescriptions
  • Measure client vital signs prior to LMP appointments
  • Administer long acting injectable psychiatric medication as ordered by LMP’s
  • Provide coverage for MAT Care Coordinator as needed
  • Provide medication administration for CSS/ACT clients as needed
  • All CBH Staff are Mandatory Abuse Reporters per the State of Oregon, as such all staff must be aware of and follow Mandatory Abuse Reporting Policies
  • Coordinate with onsite pharmacy staff (Genoa)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Must be required to meet the minimum requirement of the State Medication Technician Certification if applicable
  • Skilled at working as a member of an interdisciplinary team and completing required documentation.
  • Current driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Full professional fluency in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to multitask anywhere in the service region.
  • Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Articulate well, speak precisely, and think and write clearly.

Mobile Crisis Clinician, QMHP (on-call)

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare (CBH) has an immediate opening for an on-call Mobile Crisis Clinician, QMHP. This position will provide Crisis Assessment and Intervention, follow-up support, and other outreach for individuals experiencing crises in a variety of settings, including local hospitals, jails, and diverse locations within the community. The Mobile Crisis Team works closely with Law Enforcement and other community partners to resolve crises in the natural setting in which they occur in order to defer from a higher level of care if possible. 

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health-related field and meet qualifications to be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in the state of Oregon.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain Oregon or Washington Driver's License
  • Background check clearance
  • Ability to meet agency insurance requirements must submit current motor vehicle record if licensed outside of the state of Oregon

Residential Program Assistant Manager

This position qualifies for a hire-on bonus of $5000, half of which will be paid with the first check after hire and half paid with the first check after six (6) months of hire.  

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare seeks a full-time Assistant Manager for our North Coast Crisis Respite Center (NCCRC). This position requires performing a variety of services in the inpatient setting and providing direct services to the NCCRC Residential/Respite clients and program. The Assistant Manager supervises the staff of NCCRC in conjunction with the Program Manager and is responsible for ensuring staffing patterns are adequate for the population being served.

The Assistant Program Manager is responsible for coordinating schedules and working with HR to post and hire additional staff when needed at the direction of the Program Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff assigned.
  • Complete and monitor staff schedule to ensure shifts are covered.
  • Train and monitor staff with completion Residential Assessment, RSP’s and Monthly reports.
  • Complete the weekly Residential Capacity Report and submit to OHA.
  • Educate referral sources about program admissions process and eligibility requirements.
  • Gather and obtain referral information for the program manager. Document contacts with referral sources and decisions regarding admissions.
  • Collect and examine medication orders for potential clients to ensure they are correct, work with referent to have any errors fixed before admission.
  • Run insurance verification (MMIS) prior to the date of admission.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager all admissions.
  • Communicate with NCCRC Staff regarding new admission.
  • Oversee residential/respite admit packet to ensure completion and updates, as needed.
  • Coordinate client’s admission and discharge.
  • Complete discharge interview with client and review discharge paperwork with clients at time of discharge.
  • Input data of new client into CareLogic.
  • Schedule, monitor and participate in regular team and agency meetings
  • Completes and maintain all documents, Residential staff on-site records, and client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules and Quality Assurance standards established at CBH.
  • Track staff training and keep personnel files up to date.
  • Assist manager with hiring new staff
  • Manage and provide new hire training
  • Oversee menu planning and grocery shopping together with manager
  • Manage and approve timecards for payroll including punch change request and PTO

Pay Range: $66,438.47/yr. - $84,162.26/yr.

Residential/Housing Support Specialist (on-call)

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is seeking to hire on-call Residential/Housing Support Specialists to work at both the North Coast Crisis Respite Center facility in Warrenton, Oregon and our Housing programs in Seaside, Oregon. This position works as a member of an interdisciplinary team. It involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client-centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting, and completing daily facility tasks like cooking and cleaning. Must be willing to work any shift. 

Preferred:

  • Three years’ prior experience in the same or similar field is preferred.
  • Some higher education or vocational training in the field of Psychology (trauma-informed therapy), Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Health, and Mental Health.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA (45 CFR, Part 164)), the Substance Use Confidentiality Regulations (42 CFR, Part 2), and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

Required:

Swing shift has an additional $1.00 per hour differential pay and NOC shift has an additional $2.00 differential pay.
